Sir Tom Hunter
Tom set up his first business with a £5K loan from his father and £5k loan from the bank. He started selling trainers/sneakers from the back of a van and went on to build Europe’s largest independent sports retailer, Sports Division subsequently selling it for £290m in 1998. Tom set up WCC in 2001 and combined this opportunity with a significant commitment to philanthropy having invested close to £50m to date into social causes through The Hunter Foundation. He was Knighted in 2005 for services to entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Jim McMahon
Jim was a founding partner in West Coast Capital. He spent sixteen years as a Tax Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and was recognised as one of the UK's leading advisors to entrepreneurs, prior to joining forces with Sir Tom in 2001. Jim also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Hunter Foundation.
Paul Davidson
Paul is a partner in West Coast Capital and is a corporate lawyer by training. Between 1995-1999 he also spent 5 years in the Oil industry, the last two of which he was Company Manager in the Ukraine.
In addition to the Partners WCC has a team of experienced individuals who support invested companies with marketing, finance and ecommerce skills.
